JAE BAR LIL JACQUEA – 1999 Sorrel Mare
Pictured at age 20. Name is pronounced “Jack – Kia” (or “Jacki” with an “a” at the end) and we called her “Kia.”
This was Jacki’s very first Jae Bar!! She had showed her sire, Little King Freckles (owned and trained by J – D), in cutting and fell in love with him and wanted some of his daughters.
This mare’s dam, Jae Bar Bridget, was bred by the J – D, but was not shown due to an injury from a trailer accident.
Kia was trained and shown in cutting, and finished 3rd for the year in the $1,000 NH, but back then that class did not count toward NCHA money. Kia did produce a NCHA money earner. We were also told that her son Jae Bar Jax, was bought by Trevor Brazil.
Kia was mostly used as a broodmare and had many foals. They were all very strong, so athletic, and always low hocked! We ended up selling Kia at age 20, even though she was perfectly sound and looked amazing! It was just time to make room for several young mares we were adding to the broodmare band.
5 panel neg. 15 hands.
