JAE BAR JEWELIE – 1999 Sorrel Mare

Jewelie is a finished cutter and NCHA money earner, but she was not shown very much. She is a big soggy mare, and doesn’t look like she can move but boy can she! The reason she was not shown a lot is because John Wilkins sold her and she went to another trainer for a while. When we bought her back (she was only gone for a couple years) we found that she got really nervous at shows.  No big deal, because Jewelie turned out to be like the BEST LESSON HORSE EVER!!! She is perfect for any beginner, first timer, or kid. She is so gentle, kind, and forgiving, but also incredibly broke. She has taught countless kids (including our son who was riding her when he was 3) but we also use her for cutting lessons and she gives quite a thrill to those who cut for the first time.

Jewelie’s sire, Lenas Jewel Bars, earned $71,370 NCHA, produced over 5 million in NCHA and was an all time top 25 leading sire.

We have only had a few foals out of Jewelie because she is just too valuable to us as a riding horse. But we do have her daughter, Jae Bar Treasure (by Jae Bar Dualin JD) here in the broodmare band, and she will be here for life as well!

As of 2024, at age 25, she is still going strong and rode every week!!

 15 hands high.

Jewelie was the first horse that Jaeden showed in cutting.
