REY JAE – 2021 Bay Stallion – For 2024 we are only breeding him to our mares.

This is one cool dude!! So strong, SO athletic!!! We really feel that Rey Jae has so much potential, and a bright cutting career ahead!! This stud is stout, and mature! He has excellent bone, and feet like a mustang. Thick black mane and tail, and no white markings on him.

We bought Rey Jae as a weanling still on the mare.  We did name him (but not with Jae Bar since we did not breed him) and also gave him our brand because he does carry our bloodlines.

We were told that his sire, SDP Del Rio Cat, was in cutting training but got pneumonia, and even though he recovered, his lungs could not take the strain of hard exercise after that. So he was never shown.  But both his parents (Highlightcat and Calie Del Rey) more than proved themselves, each earning over $100,000 NCHA!

If you are from the mid-west you will definitely recognize the bottom side of these papers – Smokin Jose $17,674 NCHA, Fuego Del Corazon $31,173 NCHA, and Jae Bar Pamela $10,447 NCHA + 40 AQHA cutting points.

Jae Bar Pamela of course came from us! She was a daughter of Doc’s Jack Sprat and out of Supreme Question by Leo’s Question.  She was a full sister 8 NCHA money earners, including – Jae Bar Darcie $13,732 NCHA, Jae Bar Megan $3,055 NCHA, Jae Bar Fawn $23,413 NCHA, and Jae Bar Steven $2,580 NCHA. Pamela was also an awesome producer with such foals as: ZEE DUALY, by Dual Pep, has earnings of $129,000+, Smooth Asa Zee LTE $178k, Little Blue Zee $30,312. Dual Etta, also by Dual Pep, was 8th at the PCCHA Derby, won about $3K and was then bred by Strait Rail, Nevis, MN.  Jae Bar Francesca by Dual Pep; LTE of $10,300. Pamela’s great granddaughter, Crey Zee, was the 2018 NCHA National Futurity Open Champion.

If you are considering breeding to Rey Jae just be advised that we are not exaggerating when we say that he is very strong and incredibly athletic! He can also be a little hot.  If you are wanting a quiet Sunday afternoon trail horse, then this is not who you want to breed to.  But if you like a high powered performance horse with some fire, then we think you’ll be really pleased with a foal by him.

For 2024 we decided to only breed him to a few of our mares, because he will be in steady cutting training.
